First, Thunderbird on my wifes account was not able to startup any more. It just crashed a few seconds after it was launched. Something configured itself to death. Wen moving „.thunderbird“ out of the way the fresh, unconfigured Thunderbird happily started again. Thank you for the magic Mozilla. OK no problem, me wife likes evolution better anyway. So I installed that, and thought I could import her mailboxes into Evolution. Oh yes it is possible, I just had to import every single mbox file by hand. Is it that hard?

While I was converting the mboxes, my wife came in with her net-book. Sound was broken by magic, blueman-app was crashing all the time. I was not able to find the problems root cause, but guess what fixed the problem? Since something configured itself to death, moving away „.config/xfce4“ helped! After a restart of xfce4 (and recreation of its settings) everything was fine again. Thank you for the magic xfce.

Honestly you distribution guys, if I needed this, I would have installed Windows! The distro I use currently which by far sucks the less is Lubuntu. So if anybody knows a decent desktop distro, let me know …
